Putting ledger stone on an existing fireplace or even a custom centerpiece is fairly easy, and it’s a great project you can tackle over the weekend that will change the look of the space for the better.
We had some unique challenges on this one with our vaulted ceiling and our custom hearth. Let us know some of the unique things you’ve had to tackle while laying similar stone. Thanks for all the support gang, thanks for watching, and we’ll see ya on the next one!

1:03 Santa truly is built differently. He drinks his cookies and eats his milk . What a legend

  2. Great video but kinda mad you never showed the finished fireplace in one single wide shot.

  3. I've experienced negative effects from a green laser. If you read up on them you'll find they can damage your eye sight. Sounds silly until you realize you can't see as well anymore, then it's too late. I'd recommend that you look into eye safety and see if protective equipment should be used around that laser. Thanks for your videos.

  4. That white stone stuff looks really cheap.

  5. Tick Tock says:

You just needed to whitewash the brick. Much cheaper.

  6. He said Santa will eat his milk… lol

  7. Jones Family says:

Nice work and attention to details! Enjoyed all of the How-To's. Many times Youtubers miss a lot of the critical details but you didn't. Well done! Keep up the great work. You can tell you enjoy your work.

  8. CoSuDu says:

Santa can have his cookies and eat his milk? How old is the milk? LOLOL

Subbed ya man! Great channel, tons of knowledge transfer here! Wife and I are almost finished with our 6000 sqft barndo/2000 sq ft garage, watched your channel for how to do shit right!! Thanks

Being a former fireplace technician. Putting that hearthstone that high on the bottom vents might have issues for servicing

  11. great job guys! beautiful update to that fireplace

  12. Teresa Dawn says:

I don’t know if this has been asked, but how much do you supposed it would cost to do something like this, minus labor? It is so beautiful and (I feel) timeless!

  13. Daniel Avram says:

Can't believe that you guys didn't showed how it eventually came out…

  14. Seng Yang says:

i like your show, your personality

  15. Tom Adeimy says:

I'm sure you do good work, but I can't see it because you are always in the picture with a close up view of yourself.

  16. Shania A says:

    Love you guys❣️❣️❣️

  17. Zaq Kenny says:

    Damn!! Great job fellas 👏 👌 👍

  18. Winter Star says:

That’s a gorgeously well-done refacing!! Only thing I’d prefer, is putting a cleanable face on those 2 painted areas….matching stone would be a cleaning nightmare …Best: a brick-width black-steel strip, tight-fitted to cover each side, forming a smooth, cleanable surface.  You could actually fit steel strips over the brick anytime.
But that black paint does help camouflage the old brick edge…it just looks like a bit of an after-thought.

  19. Levans says:

That looks amazing. I would like to put that exact stone over my horrid white painted stone fireplace. Not sure it would lay right due to the stone is not flat like that brick. Any ideas?

  20. Wonderful job gentlemen!
